Rekordbeteiligung bei Main Satellite im Vorfeld der EPT im Pokerfloor der Spielbank Berlin

Fans zählen bereits die Tage bis zum 2. März. Dann beginnt mit der European Poker Tour (EPT) in Berlin das Poker-Großereignis des Jahres schlechthin. Die Spielbank Berlin veranstaltet im Vorfeld Turniere, bei denen sich die besten Spieler für das Main-Event der EPT qualifizieren können.

In diesem Zusammenhang haben allein am vergangenen Samstag, den 20. Februar, 90 Spieler beim Main-Satellite im Pokerfloor der Spielbank Berlin teilgenommen. Dabei wurde unter den Top 15-Spielern ein spektakulärer Preispool von 70.000 Euro aufgeteilt. 13 von ihnen gehörten am Ende zu den überglücklichen Gewinnern eines der begehrten Tickets für die EPT im Wert von 5.300 Euro. Die zwei Spieler, die diesmal leer ausgingen, haben eine weitere Chance: Sie erhielten eine Wild Card für das nächste Main-Satellite im Pokerfloor der Spielbank Berlin, das am 27. Februar ausgetragen wird. Damit entsendet die Spielbank Berlin nun schon 41 Gäste des Pokerfloor zur EPT. Seit dem Start der Step Satellites am 25. Januar wurden über 700 Tische gespielt. Außerdem findet am Montag, den 1. März ab 19:00 Uhr im Rahmen der EPT-Events ein 500 Euro-Rebuy Super Satellite im Grand Hyatt statt. Die Sieger qualifizieren sich für Tag 1A des Main-Events der EPT. Am 2. März um 20:00 Uhr startet zudem das 200 Euro Unlimited Rebuy Super Satellite, bei dem sich die Sieger für Tag 1B des Main-Events der EPT qualifizieren.
Das große Interesse macht deutlich, dass Berlin zu Recht als Pokerhauptstadt bezeichnet wird.

Ticketverkauf
Wer bei der EPT dabei sein möchte, kann in der Spielbank Berlin Tickets kaufen. Der Kartenverkauf läuft am 27. und 28. Februar von 12:00 bis 5:00 Uhr. Weitere Termine für den Ticketverkauf im Grand Hyatt sind der 1. März ab 16:00 Uhr, der 2. März ab 10:00 Uhr. Die letzten Tickets werden dort am 3. März bis 14:00 Uhr erhältlich sein. Dort sind auch die Tickets für das 500 Euro-Rebuy Super Satellite und das 200 Euro Unlimited Rebuy Super Satellite erhältlich.

Ãœber die EPT:
Die European Pokertour 2010 findet vom 2.03 - 7.03 in der SPIELBANK BERLIN statt. Die EPT besteht aus einem Hauptturnier (Main-Event) und einigen Nebenturnieren (Side-Events).

Es gibt verschiedene Möglichkeiten am Main-Event teilzunehmen.
Die erste Möglichkeit besteht darin sich direkt in das Hauptturnier einzukaufen. Der Ticketpreis hierfür beträgt € 5300.

Seating positions will be allocated upon arrival at the tournament counter as usual. Reservations for events taking place during the EPT Berlin cannot be made within the Spielbank Berlin itself.

The EPT side events will be taking place from 1st – 7th March.
These will include qualifying tournaments (super satellites) for the main event and above all tournaments with buy-ins starting at € 300. Accreditation for the side events will take place on the day itself at the tournament counter in the casino. The precise tournament calendar will be published at the end of January.

Satellites on the Pokerfloor:
Guests at the Spielbank Berlin can also qualify for the main EPT event by taking part in our smaller-scale qualifying tournaments (step satellites).

The satellites will be held at the Spielbank Berlin up until 28th February 2010. These pre-rounds will be taking place daily from Sunday through to Friday.

Four pre-rounds (step 1-4) will be played on a daily basis.
Here is a list of the respective buy-ins:

• € 7 for round 1        (7:00-9:00 p.m.),
• € 20 for round 2      (8:00-10:30 p.m.),
• € 80 for round 3      (approx. 8:00-10:30 p.m.)
• € 200 for round 4    (from approx. 10:30 p.m.)
• Main-Satellite € 880 (Saturdays, starting at 5:00 p.m.)

• Players must register with the floormen at the casino.
• You can enter the game at each of these rounds and multiple qualification is also possible.
• All tickets are transferrable.
• There shall be no cash payouts for qualifying tickets that have been won.

Satellites-structure:
The winners of each of the individual rounds will automatically qualify for the next round.
All round 4 winners will qualify for the main satellite at the Spielbank Berlin. The main satellites will be played every Saturday up until 27th February.
The direct buy-in for the main satellite is € 880 and up to 100 players will take part in each tournament.
100% of all buy-ins will be distributed after tax. Surplus cash sums will be distributed equally amongst all ticket winners during the course of the satellites. Provided the main satellite is played with 100 participants, places 1 – 14 will receive an EPT ticket worth € 5300. Places 15 - 19 will receive a second chance to win a ticket for another main satellite worth € 880.

Participation:
All pre-round (satellite) tickets can be sold for cash directly on the day of play on the Pokerfloor of the SPIELBANK BERLIN. Reservations for the main satellites on Saturdays (6th, 13th, 20th, 27th February) can be made with the floormen by calling +49 30 255 99 – 209.

Cash Game:

The cash game offer will be intensified in line with the increased demand during the EPT from 1st – 7th March 2010. 20 or more tables will be available each day.
The Texas Holdem NL and Omaha Holdem PL variants will be offered with blinds between €2/2 and €100/200.
From 1st – 7th March, opening times for the cash game on the poker floor of the casino will be from 3 p.m. to 5 a.m.
The high roller area will be located in the Casino Royal and open daily from 6:30 p.m. – 5:00 a.m.
